About the Loneside
Many of the brightest minds across history have disappeared without a trace. It’s the greatest historical and scientific question no one has been able to answer for. In folklore, people have speculated there to be a dream-like reality, accepting of those who have hit their absolute lowest. It’s said to shelter those whose prodigious ambitions have been deeply wounded by the world. People have named this reality the Loneside.
Though rare, the disappearances still happen in the present day, all around the world. The vanishing persons come from all age groups and backgrounds. Criminals, children, and award winning figures, they all seem to evanesce with no discernible reason.
To this day, no verified missing person has turned up. In present times, rumors circulate about corrupt governments abducting individuals for special experimentation or because they pose a threat to society. Though, historical disappearances are unaccounted for.
Meet the Creator
I’m Count_ (you pronounce the underscore), the primary producer behind the Loneside name and my own creative endeavors. While I periodically receive help with art assets and music, I’m a one-man operation for the projects I work on.
Since I started playing videogames at the young age of 3, I’ve been fascinated with the methods in which games can tell a story. The interactive medium of videogames demands we re-evaluate our understanding of traditional storytelling conventions when player agency becomes top concern. I’ve dedicated a lot of time thinking about how games can tell innovative and exciting stories.
